Bank forecastsHand-curated from PDFsQuarterly

Bank forecasts are taken verbatim from each firm’s published year-end FX outlook (report dates and lead analysts shown on each firm’s coverage page). EOY actuals used in the accuracy scorecard are spot closes from market data providers; no forecast has been adjusted or interpolated after publication. Each firm row in the accuracy leaderboard links directly to that bank’s public FX research landing page.

Aggregation method

The consensus DXY target is the unweighted mean of available firm targets. Disagreement spread is the difference between the highest and lowest target across firms. We do not weight by firm AUM, balance-sheet size, or historical accuracy — every covered desk receives equal weight in the aggregate.

Quality controls

Three independent mechanisms guard data freshness and accuracy:

Staleness detection

A scheduled monitor flags any firm whose published outlook is more than 30 days old. Stale entries are surfaced in the internal dashboard pending human review.

Inbound PDF review

Forwarded research is parsed by AI to surface candidate forecast figures. Every change requires human pull-request approval before merging into the live data layer.

Structured data markup

JSON-LD Dataset schema is embedded on key pages so that Google Dataset Search can index and surface the underlying data independently of the interface layer.

What we don’t do

Equally important for credibility:

  • We do not provide trade signals or investment advice.
  • We do not republish copyrighted bank research verbatim — only aggregate forecast figures, which are factual data points.
  • We do not weight, score, or rank firms — every firm's view is presented equally.
